The Bait House has been a Clearwater Beach institution for decades. Founded in the 1940's by Ernest Barger, captain of the Li'l Tiger charter fishing boat, the Bait House has been providing local anglers with the freshest live bait and quality tackle for generations.

In the spring of 2009, new owners Justin Pfaelzer and his wife Amy, wanted to preserve the old Florida flavor and expand the business that sits on planks and boards in the east end of Clearwater Marina.

The Bait House Tackle & Tavern is located on the water on beautiful Clearwater Beach. The Bait House Tackle offers a wide selection of fishing tackle, live and frozen bait, rod rentals and gifts. Our in-house captains offer the best inshore flats fishing charters in the area. Come explore The Bait House and enjoy a taste of the "Old Florida" you've been searching for.

Transforming the original Bait House into a full-service restaurant has been a labor of love. With renovations complete, patrons enjoy the natural beauty of the intercoastal while dining on our patio, a cold beverage from our bar, and best of all - the freshest menu around.

Caladesi Co-op

The Caladesi Co-op offers members weekly baskets of fresh, certified organic produce (and local whenever possible). Each week the basket is filled with 4-5 vegetables, including one lettuce, and 2-3 varieties of fruit. Pick-up is at ”The Bait House” on beautiful Clearwater Beach.
